La Organización Social

  • Community life revolves around teklum or ceremonial center and seat of the municipality ; the rest of the population live in places that are distributed throughout the territory of the community.

  • Each person has three names:

    • The first is the name of ladino stack 

    • The second is a Hispanic surname

    • The third is a surname of Indian origin, usually taken from a plant , animal or natural phenomenon. 

  • La vida comunitaria gira alrededor del teklum o centro ceremonial y cabecera del municipio; el resto de la población habita en parajes que se distribuyen en todo el territorio de la comunidad.

  • Cada persona tiene tres nombres:

    • El primero es el nombre de pila ladino,

    • El segundo es un apellido de origen hispano

    • El tercero es un apellido de origen indígena, generalmente tomado de una planta, animal o un fenómeno natural.
