  • On arrival of the Spanish conquistadors , year 1524 , the lord of the city of Zinacantán , Cuzcácuatl , formed alliance with foreigners and this helped them certain privileges compared to the other two domains.

 

Language

  • The Tzotzil are one of the indigenous groups whose language belongs to the Mayan family

  • Los tzotziles son uno de los grupos indígenas cuya lengua pertenece a la familia maya

  • A la llegada de los conquistadores españoles, año de 1,524, el señor de la ciudad de Zinacantán, Cuzcácuatl, formó alianza con los extranjeros y esto les sirvió de ciertos privilegios respecto a los otros dos señoríos.
